MOVEMENT STANDARDS

DEADLIFT

The bar begins on the floor for every rep (both plates touching at the same time). The athlete must come to full extension of the knees and hips, with the shoulders behind the bar. Feet must be inside shoulder width, a sumo stance is not. The bar can be lowered or dropped to the floor, however bouncing is not allowed. Olympic lifting plates must be used.

BAR FACING BURPEES

The athlete must lower themselves to the ground until both the hips and chest are touching the floor. No reps must be counted if either the hips or chest do not touch the floor. The athlete must be perpendicular to the bar when on the floor. Each rep is completed by jumping over the bar. The jump must be a 2 footed jump and landing. The athlete can twist in the air if they wish. A leap over the bar is a no rep, the athlete can complete the rep by performing only the jump back over the bar, they do not have to do the burpee too. The athlete does not have to come to full extension during the jump.
